You may remember that at June's two year well baby appointment she was off the Chinese growth charts. To say the girl "eats" is an understatement. This morning she was "pigging out" on frozen corn, yes frozen corn, one of her favorite snacks. I had given her a small bowl, however, she helped herself to an over flowing bowl and a bench full for Bandit....at least she knows how to share!:)

A week in review.....
Our family retreat at church was both enjoyable and educational for the whole family. The focus of the retreat was a four part plan for renewing family life and protecting our families from the onslaught they face in today's secular world. We are looking forward to the six week series that follows compiled from the writings of Pope John Paul II and St. Louis de Monfort on how to detach from the spirit of the world, acquire better knowledge of self and each member of the Holy Family, and how to apply these lessons to everyday life. I am glad we will have this family time together.
Yesterday, we started to organize the garage! My mom and dad spent the weekend to help us get it all together....thanks! Russ and my dad hung cabinets cleaned and organized while my mom and I ran errands. I was also able to clean my closet.....finally. I really want to get the house back in order. I have been trying to clean closets, organize cabinets, etc. Our big project will be the basement....wish us luck, we are not the most organized family around and tend to keep a lot more "stuff" than necessary.
And now for June. All of a sudden June just seems big to me. She is talking much more than a month ago and is really putting it all together. Today in the car she was watching a "Barbie" DVD and commented that Barbie was sad....and she was right. My favorite verbal skill of the week is "no". It does not matter what I say, or anyone else for that matter, June repeats the phrase or part of the phrase with "no" in front of it. For example, "June do you want a snack?" Reply, "No, nack!" It does not matter if it something she really wants....it is all no all the time! June is also starting to enjoy reading, for the most part she did not want much to do with books up until a few weeks ago(probably because it involved being still for more than 2 seconds). I am including June's book picks for this week.

Hope you have a great week. Our spring break started Friday so we are looking forward to a good week.

A week in review...
Sunday night again. Our week went by quickly as usual. Monday started with soccer. TJ's team has made it to the finals, he plays his final game tomorrow. If they win they take first, if they loose, third. TJ also found out that his FPS(future problem solvers) team made it to state! The other two boys are enjoying some down time, I don't think they will be playing any team sports this spring, maybe some golf.
June had her 2yr old physical on Monday and is doing great. She was in the 75th percentile on height, weight, HC, on the standard American chart. When I got home I pulled up the growth chart for Chinese girls.....100% (her head was actually off the chart). She was a real trooper, one shot, and two finger pricks with no tears or breath holding.....YEAH!
The other news for the week you know about....I am happy to say I have recovered from my "Dave" trauma and am looking forward to the concert. Russ is a trooper to put up with my DMB obsession:)
Tonight after work I met Russ and the kids at church. We have a family mission all week and the first night was wonderful. I hope we are able to make to a few more. Father Barret spoke on The Apostolate for Family Consecration and it was well worth the time. However, June was a little squirrelly by the end! Have a great week!
.....and now, it is time for ice cream.......

I can't believe it!
I can't believe it! Last night I receive an e-mail from the DMB Warehouse telling me to check my ticket status. Yeah, right? What seats would we have this year, I was sooooo excited. I pulled up the web page and......DECLINED with a capital D. Now I am left to overpriced pavilion seats, last night going for as much as $700 a ticket or lawn seats......UGH, my stomach still hurts this morning:(

P.S. I decided to be just like our President and spend my hard earnded tax payer dollars recklessly and irresponsibly and went for the pavilion seats. However, not as reckless as $700 a seat, much more conservative....just like a good Republican:)

"MY" balloon!
June has been playing dress up every day, today was no exception. However, today she decided to drag a birthday balloon around instead of a wand. The cat followed closely behind trying to catch the balloon string. June pulled the balloon yelling, of course, "MINE" and "NO, NO, Kitty".

A week in review....
We had a busy week here! Not only did June turn two the boys had the equivalent to the "Sweet 16" in intramural basketball. On Tuesday night Jake and Max had games at the same time at two different places. Jake's team won and unfortunately Max's team lost. Jake's team made it to the "final four" before loosing a game. They both played hard all season. We have a few weeks off before soccer starts, however, TJ is still playing indoor....
June had a great day yesterday...We are so thankful for our friends and family who have welcomed June into theirs lives, we are truly blessed.
Although, I normally write a little bit more I am going to sign off after this quick story. I have written before about how 4 kids have given me some really good "Mommy moments"....well today I had a good one. I called a friend this morning to confirm I would be at her house between 6-7pm to work on a project for our school's annual fundraiser. Around 6pm I was discussing the time change with Russ while we made dinner, at 6:45pm I gave June a bath, and around 7:20pm I hear the phone ring and Russ say, "Yes she is here, she just finished giving June a bath". My phone call earlier in the day came flooding back......UGH! All I could do was apologize, the project was just about finished. Another "Mommy moment"!

A week in review....
Most days I look forward to blogging...not tonight, I am tired! I had an absolutely crazy day at Wally World today and I was glad when my day was over! However, this morning before work I had an idea. Why don't we rearrange our bedroom? My husband being the kind man he is, indulged me. Well, as most projects go it took twice as long as I thought it would. So I went to work with our room in a shambles and when I got home it was waiting for Russ and Ito finish after Miss Junie went to bed. As it is, we finished and it is a nice change. When we were done I thought, I need to blog "A week in review". Well, I was sidetracked by "Facebook". I like FB because I am able to keep in touch with family and friends I don't really talk too....I don't get all the other applications. Sorry to all my FB friends I just ignored every request ever sent my way because it would have taken too much time to catch up, what can I say I am a blogger at heart I would rather blog:)
The kids are all on the mend and no one is sick. Max gets his braces tomorrow, I will post a before and after. June and I attended story time at our library for the first time this week. If you can believe it she was a little bit shy with the other kids. She did like playing with the toys in the play area and I plan on going back this week. The biggest news of the week is June's Birthday....stay tuned for a new look on June's special day. Enjoy your week....I am looking forward to warmer temperatures coming our way at weeks end. Hopefully summer is right around the corner.
