Milestones and catching up

Let's start with Jake and a whole bunch of milestones. Thursday Jake enjoyed his 8th grade dance. Doesn't he look handsome? The next few weeks are full of milestones for Jake, 8th grade Graduation, Confirmation, and a Summer full of activities leading him to high school. It is hard for me to believe how fast the time goes bye. Jake will be joining TJ each day and I will have two boys in high school...WOW!

As we try to keep all of the end of the year activities in order for the kids we are approaching a huge milestone for our family.....moving! We are moving about 40 minutes from where we live now. The last 5 weeks have been full of paperwork, planning, coordinating, planning, a few headaches, and, yes, more planning. Not only are we moving our family of 7 from our home we are trying to renovate the home we are moving into and timing is everything. We are very excited about the move and at the same time will miss many things about our current neighborhood.

Although our new home has a beautiful yard with perennials and a pond, I will miss many of the flowers I have planted over the years. I will miss my peonies, hydrangeas, and of course my lilacs...(you have seen them many times I know). However, I am looking forward to what are new yard has to show and I can't wait to see what pops up this Summer. Here are a few of my favorites.

There you have it, a quick update. I will try and catch up once a while and I thank everyone for your kind inquiries. Now there are a few boxes calling my name.

What a sweet picture of Jake :) And mercy, those peonies are spectacular! It's one flower that doesn't grow here in paradise. Now quit slacking and get packing!

Rebecca :) (the GF that has moved 10 times in the past 17 years....crazy to actually write that one down!)

I can't wait to see your new place. I can't remember, did you tell me if the kids have to change schools?
Hope your summer is off to a great (although busy!) start.

What a wonderful photo of your son. Your flowers look so beautiful! I love peonies. My neighbor has some that are just starting to bloom and I'm thinking that I may need to snag a few. Good luck packing :)
