Spring is in the air...

Spring is in the air....really?  It is hard to say.  Although there is about 2 feet of snow on the ground it actually felt like Spring yesterday.  The temperature was only 34 degrees, but the sun was warm, really warm.  Also, it was light outside until dinner time.  Yes, Spring is in the air.  Thankfully after Spring comes Summer.  As I have said before, I LOVE Summer.

Today I am sharing one of my all time favorite cut flowers.  Aren't they pretty?  Normally, I can only find orange and yellow, however, this time I was lucky.  My favorite color...PINK.  Speaking of favorite colors, Kendall's new favorite saying, "I have a question?".  The question you ask?  "What is your favorite color?".  I always answer, "pink".  However, since she asks that question, literally 18 times a day I do try to mess her up with a different answer.  Mean Mommy.  Once I answered, "puce" which for you Monster's Inc. fans will make you laugh....it took the boys a few minutes but they thought it was funny.  A comedian I am not:)

Today will be a busy day for me.  I am getting ready for June's Birthday Party tomorrow and Grammie is coming to spend the night to help celebrate.  We are on the last days of the Birthday week....Yeah.  I have a bit of cleaning to do today and then I am going to tackle "The Rainbow Cake".  You have all seen them, a six layer cake in bright colors.  Thankfully, I like to bake, however, I have never baked a cake this big. I hope it doesn't lean, wish me luck, I am going to need it.

Most of my party prep is ready.  We have gift bags, a coloring station, a craft station, rainbow tattoos, a pinata, The Muppet Movie, and a candy bar.  I plan on sugaring them up and sending them home.

Thanks for the visit!

As always I'm in awe as I look at your amazing pictures!

Have you considered making note cards with them, or calendars? You are just so very talented.

I love the color pink as well.

Hope you guys have a great weekend.

Ohhh, you're killing me...these are so gorgeous! I wish I could find some ranunculus. I'm with you on the summer thing, I can't wait for winter to end.

I hope June has a great birthday! I look forward to seeing pictures of the rainbow cake. The year my son turned seven, my sister and I made a seven layer cake...yeah, it was a little tricky to cut. xo

Oh yes, spring has sprung by me, bees and flowers stocked at the nursery and temps in 60's and 70's, and I'm now carrying kleenex in my pocket. I love spring, allergies not so much! haha

Your photos are gorgeous - I too LOVE that flower, I've been hoping I find some soon!

These pictures are gorgeous! I just love your still life shots. They always amaze me.

I did the rainbow cake a few times, the first time I didn't let it cool enough...and it fell apart :)
