Valentine's a glow

Each year I take Valentine pictures of the girls, just a tradition.  I use the pictures for school Valentine cards.  When the boys were little, no pictures, they created Valentine art and I used their creations.  Now that I have the photo bug, we use pictures:)  Here are a few highlights from our photo shoot.  There are cute ones, silly ones, and a few blurry ones:)

Kendall is always good to get the silly going or to give me a blurry picture with her constant motion.  I have a series of her clapping which I should post, but did not quite get to.

June pulled out the shades and all was lost, next step, chaos!

When looking for cute ideas for our Valentine cards I came across this super cute idea on Pinterest.

I thought it was a great idea, especially when you have kids in class with food allergies.....fun with no candy! Also, what kids do not like glow sticks.  Here is our personalized Valentine.  June did, however, inform me that she does not like the picture I chose.  Looks like I will have a redo before next week.

Hope you have a great weekend.  We are in the middle of a snowstorm, looks like an outside weekend for the people.  We also have to get ready for our annual Chinese New Year celebration.  Can't wait, it is one of June's favorite traditions.  Thanks for the visit.

Oh my goodness, they are adorable! And what a fun idea. I never would have thought of glow sticks, but they are perfect!

Very cute! I tried your cookie recipe. I think I did something wrong becaue they didn't look anything like yours and they were very cakey. I am going to try the recipe one more time. They seemed a little dry. I did like the fact that the recipe asked for less sugar than your standard chocolate chip cookie recipe. Happy Valentines Day!

What beautiful little Valentine's you have! And great idea to use glow sticks! My girls are "too old" for Valentine's. :( My youngest is now in 6th grade and they don't hand out Valentine's in school any more. I love seeing your photos!

Those are awesome! I love the glow idea...I'd steal it but I am the lame valentine mom. We bought a pack of Brave valentines and called it a day :) I really need to try to do more crafty stuff, Sophia loves that kind of stuff.

I think my favorites are always the one where chaos breaks loose. I love the ones of both girls together! You should have them in their rooms :)

These sure are cute! I love the shots with the shades. Those glow sticks sure are a good idea. You're right, every kid loves those things. My daughter got a big pack of glow sticks for Christmas, one night when she was supposed to be sleeping, she secretly snapped them all and then bit the end off of one and it got all over the bed...nice.
