I am a Summer girl and I am dreaming of Summer. It is cold here today, nine degrees and icy. I can't wait to have the warm sun soak into my skin while I hang out with my girls in the yard.
As many of you know we just moved into our house this fall. While we have been finishing things up on the inside I can not wait to get into my yard. The previous owners had a green thumb and our yard is lovely, however, I can't wait until it is warm to add some of our own touches. One of the first things I am going to do is plant my favorites, peonies, hydrangeas, and lilacs. I had all three at our last house and looked forward to their blooms every spring. I plan on doing the same here. The other thing I am looking forward to is an outdoor theater in the back yard. It won't be as elaborate as this one, but you get the idea.

We have a block of pine trees which is going to be the backdrop for the screen. The fire pit and swing set are close by and there is plenty of room for chairs. Did you know they sell screens and projectors for outdoor use? I can't wait! I hope to do Friday night movie night every week for the kids.....little kids early, big kids later.
Well, until then a girl can dream about Summer....that's all I have right now, the dream.

Hope to have more for you soon, not a lot going on around here right now, just life. Happy Wednesday to all.

We LOVE outdoor movie nights. We don't leave ours up all summer but we set it up at least once a month. I love it.
That beach looks perfect right now - it's only 15 degrees outside right now! Outdoor movies sound so fun!
Soon! Hang on a bit longer!
I have been seeing so many posts inspiring me for summer. And this is definitely one of them! I want green, and warm fun and swimming.
Thanks for sharing this :)
Your flower favorites are mine too! I'm wishing for summer too, unfortunately I've heard that more snow is coming our way :(
You dream girl! I am tired of winter too!
I have that outdoor theater pinned as well! I can't wait for summer- especially hanging outside in the evenings (we couldn't do that much in NC).
