It's a Boy...a babyshower

Do you remember THIS post?  Well, my cousin Chris and his wife are having a baby, a baby boy.  To help celebrate this exciting time in their lives my Mom and I decided to have a shower.  It was a special day with a small group of family brought together to celebrate a new life that will be joining our family before Christmas.  Enjoy my photo recap of the day......

We dipped pretzels for take home treats.  I think I will be making these again for Christmas treats!

We did light hor d' oeuvres:  a cheese tray and marinated mozzarella with tomatoes and basil.  For lunch we had both chicken and tuna salad on croissants, chicken  tortellini salad, and a fruit tray.

Then it was time for desert and gifts.

Doesn't she look beautiful?  Both the kids (I can say that because I am old) looked radiant, yes, Chris too.  They are going to be fabulous parents!  Gifts and desert were my girls favorite parts of the day.  Kendall was trying hard to get the package of pacifiers....she just gave hers up a month or too ago.

June was a great helper.  She was the official gift distributor.  Kendall, the gift opener and swiper:)

Notice the chocolate on Kendall's face.

This gift was a big hit, as you will see below.

All June wanted was the ribbon for her crafty life style.

Kendall just wanted the gift!

It was a fun afternoon.  Nice to catch up with family.  I can't wait to welcome our new cousin and of course wish Chris and Lindsey all of my prayers and blessings on the journey they are about to begin.
