Chilly apples

Chilly apples, no it is not a recipe, it is what we picked yesterday on June's first school field trip. I thought about not going because it was really cold. Bringing the baby, double stroller, a toddler, and of course the camera sounded like to much of an outing for me on a cold day, but June was really excited, so away we went. I am really glad we went. Although June was cold she was talking up the trip, the look on her face was worth all of work!

After we were done picking apples we were treated to apple cider and doughnuts. We decided to buy some doughnuts for the boys in the gift shop when we were done with our snack. The orchard has a great gift shop, food, gifts, books, etc. I found this beautiful candle, it is the same color as my kitchen and it smelled really good.......

.....well it turns out I may have a new favorite. Not only do these candles burn clean, they smell amazing, they are attractive, and each candle helps feed an orphan for a week.

PS: There are no pictures of Kendall, she was strapped to me in the "Baby Bjorn"...I'm lucky I was able to take any pictures:)

Oh so beautiful.. we have several orchards in the mountains of NC that have the same kind of thing and we've heard the doughnuts are amazing but didn't want to wait in the line of 75+ people for them!
Great pictures and I know the candle company-- didn't realize part of their mission was orphan care! LOVE it!! I'm going to have to get some of those!
