Catching up

As I said in my short "Week in Review ", it was a busy one. We had lots of activities, including a basketball tournament. Max and Jake had mediocre seasons, I think Jake's team only won one game the whole season. So I thought at the beginning of last week, this won't be too bad, most likely they will not make it past the first game (bad Mommy). I was wrong those teams played their hearts out. Max's team was one game out of the finals and Jake's team made it all the way to the finals and what a game it was. At the end of the first quarter they were losing 21-3, however, they came back fast and furious with a final score of 32-31. The game was so exciting, I thought I was at a NBA game. Also, since we live in a small community the gymnasium was packed which led to even more excitement. I am so glad they played hard and made it to the finals.....it was a great afternoon!

Another big event this week was the removing of the braces. Max had is first round of braces removed after just one year......almost to the day. Since Thursday I have only had to go through the trash once looking for his retainer:)

One of the nicer things about last week was the weather. We had a few days in the 40's, but you could tell Spring is on it's way. The air smells different and the birds are starting to return. We live in a major flight migration path and get to see a great variety of birds in the Spring and Fall. The kids enjoyed playing outside we went from snow boarding to skate boarding.....as you can see June was trying out her scooter, too bad the grass was so soggy!

I am sure I am skipping lots of details, but those are some of the highlights. We are still working hard to get the house rearranged before the baby comes and I am starting to feel a little uncomfortable, but not too many complaints otherwise. I will have June's Birthday recap soon, she had two great days to celebrate her birthday and I can't wait to share some of the pics!
