Best night ever, well maybe second best....surely the best night was the night I met Russ:) So even if we give this one "second" it was awesome. For those of you who know me in the real world (or have read my blogger profile) you know I am a huge Dave Matthews Band fan. Who isn't right? Although, Russ and I have been to a few concerts we have never had a view like this. We have not been to a concert in 4 years....since Kendall came along. Last year I was close, although my ticket request was turned down by The Warehouse, I was just about to purchase tickets on the phone with Ticketmaster when the line went dead. By the time I was able to get through the show was sold out. However, this year I got lucky. Pit standing through The Warehouse and a tote full of goodies to boot. Since I am old, I had no idea how this all worked. Lucky for me Russ let me head into Alpine Valley as soon as the gates opened. Although I was not as fast as some of the "Pro" fans we had only 4 people in front of us and thankfully the tall gentleman in front of me let me have his spot:) The only sad part about the evening is that the Nikon was not allowed. I had to rely on the iphone and my old, not functioning well, point and shoot (did I mention it ran out of batteries). Maybe some day I will get to bring the Nikon....a girl can dream right? Russ and I had a great night and the show was fabulous. Whether you like DMB or not these fellas are pros, they put on an awesome show and you can tell they love what the do.
Check back soon, I have a backlog of pictures to share and lots of editing the next few weeks. Up next, the dragon boats and more Miles.
