I guess I am behind since I am just getting to Christmas Eve photos. I took a few pictures in between hosting and tending to the kiddos. We celebrate Christmas Eve with my Dad's side of the family and rotate between 4 families, so every four years I get both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day...this was one of those years. We started of the evening with our traditional "before" church photos, not so great did not even get the boys. Every year I try to plan so we are ready well before church, but somehow we are always running around getting ready for the evening ahead.
Once we came home from church, we started cooking and waiting for our family to arrive. We always have a good time, but it is fun to have the little ones to liven up the evening. When I was little my Nana always hosted Christmas Eve. It was a huge crowd including her four siblings and their families. Eventually it was to big to fit in her basement and we had to split it up. I have to say, those are some of my fondest childhood memories....Christmas at Nana's and Papa's. I hope I am able to create memories like that for my children and grandchildren.
The gift of the night was "Hungry Hippos"! The kids and adults played for a long, long time. The laughter was contagious and the competition was intense:)
We also celebrated Christmas Day at our house, it was a relaxing and enjoyable day (no photos worth sharing). Russ was off during break, we spent a day in the city and New Years at his parent's house. TJ had a mini vacation snowboarding and snowmobiling up North with a friend. We are all home now and trying to get back into the swing of things. Russ went back to work and I started on the Christmas decorations, oh and the kids got flu shots...finally. I am looking forward to reclaiming my routine, but have enjoyed having the kids home for break. I am looking forward to the New Year, it is always nice to have a fresh start.

Sounds like a great holiday :) Love the girls in their pretty red dresses. I **still** haven't gotten my kids flu shots this year. Dmitry is on the HAVE to list because of his heart but I'm kind of a lame mom lately.
looks like wonderful time with wonderful people!
Beautiful family shots!
That sounds like so much fun! I miss the large family gatherings that I used to have with all my aunts, uncles and cousins. There's just too many of us now and everyone is grown with their own families. I'm sure you're creating wonderful memories for your children.
Such sweet photos! Happy new year!
thanks for sharing your family photos. I recall Christmas at my grandmother's being a quite large affair as well!(9 aunts and uncles + loads of cousins)
Love these- wish I had picked up my camera over Christmas!
