It is late here and I am enjoying a little time to myself. The girls have been asleep for awhile now and Russ and the boys have gone to see the midnight showing of "The Hobbit"....I only wish I could have gone with! However, the girls and I had a bit of fun this morning before June went to school. The girls got dressed up in their Christmas dresses and we had a party. A party complete with hot chocolate, peppermint whipped cream (YUM), candy canes, cookies, and, marshmallows. Yep, I sugared up the June-bug before I sent her off to school. This may be the heaviest picture post ever....I had lots of fun taking pictures of my girlies.
Kendall was a big fan of the whipped cream and the marshmallows....these girls ate a lot of marshmallows!
Don't let her good looks fool you....this girl gives me a run for my money every single day. Yes, I spend most of my day running, literally. Running from one crazy situation to the next. I should have been in my twenties when I had this one, not my forties....I guess the Big Guy had a different plan for me:)
Again, the marshmallows.
I learned something new about June this week. She does not like peppermint...it is too spicy. She does, however, like marshmallows.
Expresso cups were the perfect size for the girls and (you guessed it) they added marshmallows.
June was not against dipping her chocolate chip cookies into the hot chocolate. Who could blame her?
Kendall enjoyed playing with breaking the candy canes.
One thing I enjoy about my parenthood journey is sisterhood....it is truly a special bond.
Love this one of Kendall girl...just do.
And June for some reason always brings a smile to my face, even when I least expect it.
The candy canes took a bit of a beating at the "tea party".
Kendall wanted to take a picture like June's (she always checks the pictures as I take them), but she could not quite hold them the same way as June.
Again, the sister thing.
For some reason I loved Kendall in B&W today...
The scrunched up nose thing makes me laugh. June tells her to make an angry face and this is what you get.
June decided to make a marshmallow trail for Kendall in the sun room...luckily for us we follow the three five minute rule.
These are just some pics in front of the tree. I loved the way the sun was hitting the girls, it almost looked like it was night in some of the pictures.
Once the dancing started I knew it was over for the pictures...
Some times I wonder as I post these pictures what the girls will think when they get older. Will they like to see them on the internet or will they feel like Truman on "The Truman Show". I hope they like them and I hope they bring back special memories from their childhood. I hope.
Have a great weekend and thanks for the visit.

Darling Photos! I don't think they will think anything of being on a blog. I think it is so natural for children today to be in some form or another. They don't know any different. My children actually ask me to post stuff they do, but I know others hve differen opionions about it.
These photos are just great...I'm sure both girls will be thrilled to see these later in life. Beautiful children, beautiful house, beautiful photos!
what a fab idea - I love this a cocoa party! Adore the dresses - by chance where did you get them?
Awe, these are just too cute! Looks like a wonderful party with yummy treats. :)

Oh how gorgeous! And I adore their dresses!
I feel the same way about posting pics of my kids. I hope they don't hate it some day.
What fabulous photos! I really enjoyed looking at them - this is such a fun time of year! I am laughing (sort of) about your comment about having your youngest when you are in your 40's. I am 42 and due with my 2nd in May - and I know this one will wear me down more- I can just feel it. I am tied more with this pregnancy so I am sure by the time HE is running around, I am going to be so tired and wishing I was 20 again LOL
Wow! These photos are just beautiful and so are your girls!! Have a great weekend!
