Lilacs...one of my favorites

Lilacs are one of my favorites, along with peonies, and ranunculus. With the warm weather we experienced a few weeks ago, these beauties bloomed early, almost a month early. I love to bring huge bouquets into the house, you can smell the sweet smell as soon as you open the door....what a treat.

Seems like it has been really busy around here lately. The boys are all in track this Spring and have started off their season well. The girls are doing great. June has been learning about Easter at preschool and can tell the whole Easter story. Her teachers made Resurrection eggs and shared how to pray The Stations of the Cross. What a blessing it has been to see her embrace and begin to understand the beauty of Easter. Kendall has been on a different journey this week, LOL! My strong spirited little one has learned how to get out of the house, quietly I might add. Needless to say, we now have door chimes on all the doors. I keep trying to embrace her zest for life and nurture it, some days are hard. Yesterday, while at TJ's track meet, she kept running towards the pole vaulters (no doubt trying to get to her brother). When I would finally catch her, she runs really fast, she would yell, "HELP ME"! Yep, "HELP ME", loud and strong....how does she come up with this stuff?

Russ and I are trying to go with the flow. We are still trying to sell our house and buy a different one. It has been a long and stressful journey and seems to consume lots of my time and energy. One of my friends once said, "Buying houses is not for sissies", she was right! Whatever the end, I am holding tight to the fact that God's plan is better than mine and the journey we are on will bring us to the best possible place for our family. All I have to do is be patient. Did I mention patience is not one of my strengths.......

What gorgeous photos! I check our lilac trees frequently. We are still aways from blooms. Need more sunshine, and less rain! Nothing better than a bouquet of lilacs to bring smiles.

Oh my- first those images are stunning- as always.

As for Kendall getting out- holy cow, you have your hands full with her. She is incredibly spirited that one- I bet you are getting your share of running in each day.

As for the house stuff- I completely understand. Both times we walked that road it was so bad that we swore we would never do it again. My mom is a Realtor & the things she tells me makes me definitely shy away from the thought. It's so hard.

Patience is something I struggle with as well. I sure hope things work out with the house soon! Now with that said, these are fabulous, Tiffany! I love the tones and light in that second shot. The composition is lovely, as well.

Thanks so much for joining us in the Leap Into Spring Photo Challenge. I'm so glad to have you back with us again! Next week's theme will be Easter/eggs. Can't wait to see what you come up with! Have a great weekend and a Happy Easter! :)

I love the look of lilacs but they hate me. My poor nose, and our new house has a giant bush of them right outside the bathroom window!

Your photos are gorgeous!

Happy Easter!

I am so sorry this is taking forever. I hate waiting. It really stinks. I know you are tired of hearing it will all work out, but you know it will. Maybe the perfect house for you hasn't come on the market yet. It's not for sissies. No doubt about it. I hope you had a great Easter, despite the stresses of buying/selling. Thinking of you!!
