When I found out I was pregnant with Kendall, it was not completely unexpected, but it was a complete surprise (confusing I know). That being said, an unexpected gift is always the best. I laugh all the time, because God must have thought my life was bland, He thought I needed a little "spice". Well, let me say, He "spiced" it up good! Kendall adds a ton of "spice" to my life. She is special in so many ways. I have a feeling in my heart that there are big things planned for this little one. She may even be the first one in the family to climb Mt. Everest! Seriously, though, I pray for wisdom daily to be able to parent her in a way that will not diminish her adventurous spirit, but to nurture it (which I promise is hard). Kendall is strong willed, independent, and determined. Kendall can; climb anything, run really fast, get in double locked cabinets, open and close the refrigerator and freezer, turn the heat on and off, play in the sink, get around all gates, slide through the rails on the stairs, and most recently climb out of bed. In fact this morning, I went in to get her, she had her lights on and was looking at books on her rocking chair. All of this leads me to the pictures, yes, the pictures! I thought I would chronicle Kendall's new skill of climbing out of bed with some pictures of her "big girl bed". Did I mention Kendall does not like photo shoots?

{The bribe: Kendall takes a picture, mommy takes a picture}
{She started to loosen up just a little}
{She climbed}
{She looked at "Chicka, Chicka, ABC"}
{She gave me one chance to capture her sweet, loving face}
In addition to all of her misadventures, this little one is sweet, sweet, sweet. She is talking more and more. She always says "please and thank you", "bless you" if you sneeze, and she is always ready with an "I love you", a hug, and a mooch. She is especially fond of June and I love watching their relationship grow.
Gotta love the "spice"!
Happy Tuesday, thanks for stopping by.

So cute :)
Awww how sweet!! Love them and how you showed the progression of the photoshoot,
(thanks for linking up)
Sooo precious!
So nice to see her sweet face gracing the screen!!!! She is so precious Tiffany :) To hear you describe her reminds me a lot of my munchkin. She has a similar temperament- head strong. I certainly worry about her more in the sense of her being so fearless that she ends up getting into trouble- where I worry about the other one being taken advantage of. Funny how they can be raised the same & be so drastically different.
Ah yes, kids with that additional spirit, I have one of those! And I totally understand what you mean about the challenge of not wanting to diminish it but also 'boundarying' it , for want of a better made up word.
Sweet, sweet pictures!! Love the 5th one down...those eyelashes are beautiful!!
She is so cute! I have a little girl with lots of spirit too. Oh boy, is she a handful. I can't believe how different she is from my son.
She's a doll. Love her haircut!
=)
I'm a fan of spicy! For a little girl that's not a fan of pictures, she sure looks beautiful in all :)
This is SOOOO precious! I adore the last picture!
Awhile back you posted on my blog-
Keep going day by day. Our wait was not as long, but it was not straight...that story is on a private blog, but the road leads to the perfect place because that is His plan. I look forward to following your journey.

So precious !
great pics
She is perfect! I have one of those. . .now 17 ~ We had to dead blot the front door and put the key up over the door frame so he could not slip out of the house. He would climb out windows, get the mail, take walks by himself, pick wild flowers early summer morning...when I was sleeping. Up with sun this kid! I slept with one eye open and one ear sharp as could be but I could not keep up with Stephen. I taught him to always be with me. He was to keep an eye on me and never let me out of his site. It worked!!! I was so afraid we would be terribly hurt or killed sneaking out of the house at anytime of the day or night. We would always say "The house is locked up tight and if there is a fire follow Stephen. He knows how to get out!"
He's the best son a mother could hope for: Warm, loving, passionate about life! The perfect son for me. All the worry, challenge and prayers paid off. I'm so happy God send you a Stephen . . .What a wonderful thing!!!
She is beautiful and the perfect daughter for you!!! I just love this post!

Love how you helped her warm up to it. She is beautiful!
I know your life is crazy with 5, and I don't know if I could pull it off as well as you do- but.... on some days I still long for a sister for Eva.
