What's for dinner?

Spring is a busy time of year. If your house is anything like mine, you have multiple kids in sports (some kids in multiple sports), band programs, music lessons, end of year programs, throw in Dr's appointments, laundry, and by the time everyone is finally home the question is, "What's for dinner?" Well this one is a pleaser, everyone liked it, it is easy, it can be prepared in advance, and, although I did not freeze this time, I think it will freeze nicely. So here it is....

{Cavetina}

5-3-015

{Ingredients}

1 pound ground beef
1/2 pound rigatoni (cooked)
1 large jar spaghetti sauce (I used Ragu Traditonal)
1 large jar of mushrooms (drained)
1 pound mozzarella cheese
1 package sliced pepperoni

{Directions}

Brown the ground hamburger and drain off fat. Cook the Rigatoni and drain.

Combine the meat, Rigatoni, spaghetti sauce, mushrooms and mix well (this is called the sauce).

Layer in large baking pan: ½ the sauce and ½ the cheese. Another layer of sauce, then cheese. Top with sliced pepperoni.

Bake @ 350 degrees for 40 minutes.

The kids loved it...I did not even get to take a picture when it came out of the oven because everyone was so hungry!

Enjoy

That looks pretty yummy! We have a family recipe that uses Rigatoni noodles too. I'll have to try this :)

That looks fabulous. Reminds me of something my Mom used to make us.
