Bayfield, Wisconsin.....

As I said earlier, we had cool wet weather for most of our vacation. On Tuesday, we took a day trip to Bayfield, Wisconsin on Lake Superior. The pictures do not do justice to how pretty this town is(the rain did not help either). Although, we were only two hours north of the cabin the landscape is totally different and so is the "feel". Bayfield is the gateway to the Apostle Islands of Lake Superior and sailing the sport of choice. The town reminds me of a North Eastern fishing village more than the "North Woods". The kids enjoyed the trip and surprisingly the weather was warmer and less rainy than at the cabin. I hope we can bring them back sometime so we can take the ferry across to Madeline Island.
