Spying on Kendall

Yesterday morning I ran down stairs to refill my coffee while I was drying my hair and this is what I saw.  Kendall coloring all by herself.  I ran for my camera.  Usually, while I get ready in the morning the girls are playing nicely together bothering each other.  Today, something different. I was glad to "spy" my girl while she played.

Once she figured out I was watching she wanted to see her pictures...of course.  The lighting was lovely, streaming in the window. (I believe this lighting is referred to as "Rembrandt" lighting.)  Kendall is coloring "Lightening McQueen", one of her favorites.

This picture is for the Grandmas, they hate hair in the girls face, but Kendall and barrettes don't mix.

Lots to do today, we decided to take a last minute trip to the beach.  I spent yesterday going through the girls rooms pulling out shorts and swimsuits...considering it is still 15 degrees here all that Summer stuff is packed in totes.  Can't wait, it has been a crazy year at our house and we could all use a little rest and relaxation!

  3. Yes, the light is Rembrandt or chiaroscuro . I think that is the word for it when all is dark and the subject is highlighted with light. Love when the entertain themselves.
