Ni Hao Kai Lan.....................

Next week on 2/7/08 Ni Hao Kai Lan premiers on Nick Jr. The show is about a 6 year old Chinese girl, we can't wait to watch.

Well, the poll is closed and constant cleaning of the kitchen won with 4 out of 6 votes. I think the blog poll was a flop, perhaps if I spiced up the topic I might get a bit more response!

Okay, once again, you will have to turn off DMB(I just can't). I promise your time will be worth it. Although this video is bad, the vocals are what you are here for. The boys were making boy noises(farting sounds) and June thought is was quite funny, so I grabed the camera a began taping(which explains the very bad video). Enjoy.

June and I went to visit friends today, we had lunch, visited, and the girls played. We had a great afternoon!

The BAND....................

This is the band...we had an enjoyable evening with the middle school jazz band, concert band, and choir. If you go down to the bottom of the blog you can turn off Dave(I couldn't bring myself to do it)and hear the jazz band. The kids all did a great job.

June's newest skill................

June has a new skill...she can quickly and efficiently empty any cabinet or drawer she comes in contact with. She has a great time doing it too. Although I have three older children I kind of forgot about this.....silly me! June's new skill got me thinking...How many times a day do I clean the kitchen? You can give me your answer on the side bar poll.

One of June's favorite things to do after bath time is to pull her books of her bookshelf. She is usually very proud of herself.

June's Christening preparation...............

June's Christening is February 9th. Today I ordered the beautiful dress pictured above. I would have liked her to wear the gown the boys wore, however, they were Baptized at about six weeks of age. One of my oldest friends, Cath, is going to be June's Godmother and our oldest son TJ is going to be her Godfather. We can't wait for this truly special day.

Love at first sight....

The first time we saw June we fell in love...the best way to describe her from the first time she was put in our arms is sweet, she is a sweet baby. Now that we have been home for a while her personality is really starting to shine......she is still sweet, she flirts while she eats squinting her eyes and smiling, she waves bye-bye and says it too, she crazy crawls and pulls up on my leg, and when she is tired she sucks her thumb and gently rubs our hand and lays her head on our shoulders. June is a joy to have in our home and has made our home a happier place.

New friends, New China.......

While waiting for June I met a family at work with a daughter from China. They traveled in 2004 to bring home their beautiful daughter. Now that we are home we enjoyed an evening out at the New China restaurant. We all had a great night sharing stories about our travels and the kids got along great too. We look forward to more outings with our families!

Gracie....

We have no news about Grace. I think of her often...I hope for her. I hope we made the right decision, I hope she is receiving the medical care she was so in need of, mostly I hope she feels loved. One thing that gives me hope for Grace is Half the Sky, an organization dedicated to serving the needs of China's orphans. I can't help but think of Grace every time I receive our Half the Sky newsletter. www.halfthesky.org

DMB fan in the making.....

For those of you who do not know, I am a HUGE Dave Matthews Band fan, and so is June. We listen to Dave in the car and she has an ear for the acoustic guitar. On her first Christmas she received her first concert T. DMB of course! June wore her new duds to a New Years Day party today. Dave if you are reading, how about getting August and June together?
